Candle Holders

Candle Holders
There is nothing quite like the soft, steady light of a candle in an Early American Candle Holder, and these hand-forged examples carry that glow from another century. Each piece was shaped at the anvil by a blacksmith's hammer, so no two are exactly alike.

You will see the small irregularities that prove the handwork - slight twists in the shaft, a thumbprint in the base, the gentle flare of a drip pan hammered thin. Surfaces are original and untouched, usually a dry, dark iron with just the right hint of age and use.

Grouped along a mantel, set on a trestle table, or used singly on a bedside stand, they bring a warm, historic feel that electric light simply cannot match. When you contact me, I am glad to describe heights, base shapes, and styles so you can choose holders that suit both your candles and your sense of early simplicity.
